To all concerned, Laz was a dear friend of ours during his time in Surrey at the White Horse and The Jovial Sailor where I worked as his Deputy Manager. We really did share some great times together and both Nik and I were deeply saddened to hear about his passing. He fought amazingly over the years to beat this disease that finally took him and we were so proud to see how he and those around him did all they could to get him well.
